Do you provide services for kids ages 3 and up?

Building Blocks Therapy contracts exclusively with PA counties to provide therapy for children ages birth - 3. We do not provide private therapy. You can reach out to the Intermediate Unit in your area for services for children ages 3-5. There are also several private therapy agencies in the area.

Why are parents and caregivers involved in therapy sessions?

Parents play a key role in a child’s early development. Nonetheless, the significance of parental involvement is often underestimated in early intervention. If your child is seen for 1 hour of therapy per week, that is only 1% of your child's waking hours.  You are the expert on your child and you are the person who makes the biggest difference.  Our therapists will show you how to best work with your child within your daily routines so that therapy does not only occur when the therapist is there.  It occurs when you are dressing your child, going to the grocery store, playing in the park, and getting ready for bed. We look forward to your participation!
